Things may be improving on the tariffs front. The subscription, Bloomberg Close reported as follows today: "Chinese officials confirmed over the weekend that the U.S. and China are close to finalizing the “phase one” deal Presidents Donald Trump and Xi Jinping are expected to sign on… Nov.16 – 17…" The "phase one" deal is an interim agreement designed to postpone some of the tariffs.
The article goes on to state: "There is an expectation the Dec. 15 tariffs, which would hit popular consumer items like smartphones and toys, won’t take effect."
The toy industry could certainly use a break so we can only hope that no more hiccups take place and that the two presidents do sign. Keep your fingers crossed.
