I loved playing with sparkler toys when I was a kid. I'm not talking about fireworks but those little mechanical devices that generated sparks when you pushed the plunger in and out. It was fascinating to see all the colors and watch the wheel turn.
I was not able to find much on the history of these types of toys so if you have knowledge about their origin please share them with us. Here are some antique versions with some great designs.
My father used to repair our sparkler toys with new flints. I don’t know how he did it or where he got the flints. Could anyone illuminate me???
