Pitch Your Product at People of Play’s 2026 Global Inventor Pitch & Innovation Conference

Global Toy News Insight
The opening of registration for People of Play’s 2026 Global Inventor Pitch & Innovation Conference serves as an important reminder that some of the toy industry’s biggest opportunities often begin with independent inventors. As consumer preferences evolve faster than ever—from AI-powered play and STEM learning to collectible experiences and screen-free innovation—manufacturers that actively engage with inventor communities gain early access to fresh ideas, emerging trends, and potential licensing opportunities. In today’s competitive market, events like this aren’t simply networking conferences; they’re becoming essential innovation pipelines where the next generation of hit products and brand partnerships often takes shape long before they reach retail shelves.

Registration is now open for People of Play’s (POP) 2026 Global Inventor Pitch & Innovation Conference, where the global toy and game inventor community comes together to learn, collaborate, and pitch their ideas.

Taking place November 5 to 7 at the Embassy Suites in Rosemont, Illinois, the industry’s longest-running inventor conference will bring together inventors, designers, entrepreneurs, manufacturers, retailers, and toy and game executives for three days of educational programming, mentorship, networking, and pitch opportunities.

Designed for both first-time inventors and seasoned professionals, the conference offers programming that helps creators refine their ideas, expand their networks, and connect directly with companies seeking the next great toy or game.

Highlights include:

  • Expert panels featuring leaders in toy innovation, design, marketing, licensing, and product development.
  • Speed pitching, where inventors present concepts directly to toy and game companies for feedback and potential licensing opportunities. New inventors receive exhibit tables as part of the experience.
  • One-on-one mentoring with experts in manufacturing, legal, retail, public relations, social media, and other critical areas of the toy business.
  • Networking events that create opportunities to build lasting relationships with fellow inventors, product acquisition executives, and industry leaders.

Registration also includes admission to two signature industry events: the Toy & Game Innovation Excellence Awards (TAGIEs) on November 6 at Joe’s Live Concert Venue; and the Chicago Toy & Game Fair (CHITAG Fair), taking place November 7 to 8 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center.

Inventors, creators, and other members of the toy and game community are encouraged to register early. Any questions may be directed to Mary Couzin, senior vice president and founder/leader of People of Play at The Toy Association.

The Global Inventor Pitch & Innovation Conference is part of POP Week 2026, a four-day series of events dedicated to the inventors, fans, and leaders inspiring the toy and game industry. POP Week is presented by People of Play™ (POP), a division of The Toy Association™. Click here to learn more.
