Winner Announced: 2024 Hot Wheels Legends Tour – June 15 Charlotte Event (PR)

The winner of today’s Hot Wheels Legends Tour Charlotte stop was just announced! More than 125 cars participated and 5,000 Hot Wheels fans attended the event at Walmart in Monroe, NC.

Eric Wade (From Chesterfield Virginia), claimed top spot with a wild custom-built 1973 AMC Postal Jeep.

About the 1973 AMC Postal Jeep
Eric Wade’s one of a kind homebuilt hotrod is based on the famous post office vehicles of the 1970s. The build was a family ordeal and crafted to honor Wade’s late father. Outside of the original body and the S10 front clip, all the bodywork modifications were developed by Wade himself. With custom orange and gold pearl paint, a massive hood cowl and an 8-inch drop, the little Postal Jeep certainly stood out from the crowd today. The unique build is also a function dragster with a nitrous equipped big block Chevy under the hood. To put the power to the ground, Wade devised a completely custom-built suspension and fitted drag radial tires. The interior is purpose-built with a custom roll cage to keep Wade safe during highspeed quarter mile sprints and a drag racing parachute was installed to slow the speedy Postal Jeep down. Wade’s creativity and garage spirit are evident in this build and its authentic Hot Wheel look impressed the judges enough to secure spot at the Hot Wheels Legends Tour Charlotte stop.
