Math Path Path Monster launching in partnership with Mathnasium Learning Centers Happy Pi Day – March 14:

Alexandria, VA (March 14, 2024) – Celebrate math this Pi Day (March 14th) with ThinkFun, with the launch of their newest cooperative game Math Path Monster. In Math Path Monster, children use teamwork and math skills to solve simple addition and subtraction problems on their way to outrace the Math Monster to the entrance of Math Mountain. The game is suitable for children ages 6 and up and retails for $19.99 USD / $26.99 CAD and is now available nationwide at Amazon (and Amazon.ca) and local game stores.

In Math Path Monster, players discover a Math Monster deep inside their den in Math Mountain and must use strategy and teamwork to outrace them to the entrance. Using addition and subtraction, players must roll all four dice and use them in two different equations – one for the Math Monster and one for the explorers. Players will then choose which two dice to use for either the Math Monster or the explorers, with the resulting answer dictating the number of spaces to move. If the explorers make it to the cave entrance before the Math Monster, they win!
Additionally, Math Path Monster’s fun learning techniques will be put into practice around the globe, as the popular tutoring and homework organization Mathnasium will support the game’s launch to help enhance children’s learning efforts.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with Mathnasium to introduce ThinkFun’s Math Path Monster to kids around the globe,” said Alec Lawson, Head of ThinkFun Marketing. “This new cooperative board game not only promotes teamwork, but it also allows kids to develop their addition and subtraction skills in an engaging way, so children can level up their math [proficiency] right along with their peers and never feel left behind.”

“Math Path Monster is a delight for all ages, adults included,” said John Bianchette, Vice President of Education and Training for Mathnasium. “While the rules are easy to learn, the amount of collaborative strategy you can add keeps Math Path Monster exciting and fresh for every game.”

Math Path Monster is recommended for two to four players ages six and up and has an MSRP of $19.99 USD / $26.99 CAD.
