We have decided to begin a new feature here on Global Toy News to help showcase and inspire young toy business entrepreneurs. These young entrepreneurs will help shape the future our toy industry and we are thrilled to tell their story. We’d like you to meet Katie Romanelli from Canada.

Katie Romanelli is a high school senior in Canada. She came up with an idea for a toy line, went online to Alibaba, and searched for a manufacturer, here is her story:
Hello beautiful people! My name is Katie and I am a senior in high school located in Canada. My father has been an entrepreneur his whole life and inspired me at a young age to start my own business. A few years ago in the middle of the virus we all know and hate, COVID 19, I finally decided to take the risk and start my own business. It was a bit of a process to come to the name Katiescutsies and to develop characters with personalities, but the whole journey up to this point has been amazing! I started off making stickers and doing art for people for free.

My first taste of success was when I did a drawing for a girl in Australia of her two bunnies and she ended up getting it tattooed!! After that, I slowly but surely created the characters and developed an art style for katiescutsies. I started with stickers to not make plushies! It has always been a dream of mine to sell products that I designed to people all over the world and in retail stores for people to enjoy. I emailed and called countless stores to get them to carry my products. Of course not all of them agreed, but enough to keep me going and wanting to grow katiescutsies even more. I hope people of all ages will love the katiescutsies characters and enjoy my products. I will never stop working and trying to achieve my dreams of making katiescutsies successful! Anything is possible.
