Since its demise, Toys R Us has made like Lazarus and risen from the grave…only to return. Therefore, I felt a little circumspect about its latest resurrection in Macy’s.
I have to admit it – Geoffrey and Toys R Us are indeed back in business. The store within a store concept varies in size, but some locations feature a full 10,000 square feet.
If this works out, it would be good for Toys R Us, Macy’s, the toy industry, and families from Florida to Alaska. I went to Macy’s website, and found two store lists: One was of stores that are currently open, and the other is of stores set to open “soon.”
