“The $25,000 Pyramid Game” 122.794
In June 2021, The Strong announced the launch of the National Archives of Game Show History. As part of that initiative to preserve the story of this important part of American popular culture, the museum is collecting home versions of television game shows since many viewers want to do more than just shout answers at the screen. As the box for this 1986 Cardinal Industries game based on The $25,000 Pyramid explains, “You’ve watched THE PYRAMID GAME on television . . . now you can play the game right in your own living room with the new home version. THE PYRAMID is one of television’s longest running and highest rated TV Game Shows. Hosted by Dick Clark, THE PYRAMID is fun and entertainment for the whole family. Play both the $25,000 and $100,000 PYRAMID with family and friends. Teams race against the timer in this fast paced and action filled word association game. The team with the highest score goes on to the ‘WINNER’S CIRCLE.’ The tension and excitement build as the dollar stakes climb! Who will take it all?”
