  1. Such a great comment that good toys don’t need AR/VR bells and whistles to stay fun, relevant and engaging to kids. In fact, just the opposite. Technology is often used as a bandaid to prop up mediocre toys. If a toy isn’t fun and engaging without Wifi, Bluetooth and a tablet, then adding those isn’t likely to make it a TOTY candidate. It’s also noteworthy that American fun is very different than Chinese fun. The same goes for educational toys, there are significant cultural differences. Not all products will be slam dunks to both audiences without careful changes.
