I was very excited to chance upon the work of the 19th century, French illustrator, J.J. Grandville. Mr. Grandville (1803-1847) was a successful artist and lithographer whose works included illustrations for novels like Gulliver's Travels, and La Fontaine's fables. Here are some examples of his work.
