Those of us who travel the Toy Highway (Dallas, Hong Kong, Nuremberg, New York), know that a visit to Hong Kong in January is an essential stop. The buying and selling activity takes place both on the Kowloon side in Tsim Sha Tsui as well as across the harbor at the Hong Kong Convention Centre. It is at the latter where the Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair, Asia's largest toy show, takes place.
Hong Kong is the beating heart of the global toy industry. It is also a part of China, the center of global toy manufacturing and the world's fastest growing toy consumer market. It is a must for anyone who truly wants to understand the business of play. So, If you have never been then I strongly suggest that you do so. If you have attended, its worth making a return trip.
